Event feedback survey questions people answer before they leave

Feedback emails sent the day after an event get a fraction of the answers you get from people who are still in the room. Put a QR code on the exit doors, the last slide and the back of the badge, and ask while the night is fresh.

Keep it to three or four questions in total. Each one below takes a tap or a sentence.

How to run it

  1. 01Pick a rating question, a 'best part' question and one open question.
  2. 02Publish them as printed polls and put the QR codes at the exits and on the closing slide.
  3. 03Leave them open for 48 hours so people can answer on the way home.

Each link opens the editor with the question already written. Change anything, then publish and put the QR code on screen.

Tips from running these live

  • Put the code on the back of the badge. Everyone is holding one on the way out.
  • Ask the open question last. People who tapped a rating are warmed up and more likely to write a sentence.
  • Share the results with attendees. A short 'here's what you told us' email is also your best invitation for next year.
