Make the poll, insert its QR code image on a slide, and switch to the live results window when you want to show the votes. Nothing to install in PowerPoint.

  1. 1

    Make the poll

Type the question in the editor, add choices, and pick “On a screen, right now”.

  2. 2

    Insert the QR code

Download the QR image from the share page, then in PowerPoint use Insert › Pictures › This Device. Size it to at least a quarter of the slide.

  3. 3

    Open the results view

From the share page open “Present on a screen”. It is a full-screen, high-contrast view built for projectors, with the QR code in the corner so latecomers can still join.

  4. 4

    Switch during the talk

In Slide Show, press Alt+Tab (Windows) or Cmd+Tab (Mac) to jump to the results window, then back. If you present with two screens, drag the results window onto the projector before you start.

Common questions

  • Does it work in Teams or Zoom? Yes. Share your screen as usual and paste the poll link in the chat for remote people.
  • Can I reuse the poll next week? Yes, open it from My polls. Close it between sessions if you want fresh results, or make a copy.
  • How many people can vote? Free polls take 100 responses; paid plans have no cap.
