Make the poll
Open the editor, type your question and the choices, and choose “On a screen, right now”. No account is needed.
- 2
Download the QR code
On the poll’s share page, click “Download QR image”. It is a 1000-pixel PNG, sharp enough for a projector.
- 3
Put it on the slide
In Google Slides choose Insert › Image › Upload from computer and pick the PNG. Make it big: a QR code should fill at least a quarter of the slide so the back row can scan it. Add the short link under it for anyone without a camera.

Present and switch to results
When the slide comes up, people scan and vote in their phone browser. Open “Present on a screen” from the share page in another tab and switch to it (Alt+Tab or Cmd+Tab) to show the bars moving.
- 5
Close the poll
Close the poll from the share page when you move on, so late votes don’t change the result you just discussed.
Tips that make it work in a real room
- Read the question out loud and give people 30 seconds. Most votes arrive in the first 20.
- One question per slide. Two QR codes on one slide confuse people.
- If the venue Wi-Fi is weak, tell people mobile data works too; the voting page is tiny.
- Want it on more than one slide? Make one poll per question, or run a live quiz for a scored set.
