QR Code Monkey alternative
A QR Code Monkey alternative, compared honestly.
QR Code Monkey is a good free generator: its codes are static, never expire and can carry a logo. Below is where ours differs, using only what its own page says.

Make a QR code that looks like you and scans every time.
Free to make. No account. We never put ads between a scanner and your link.
Link, Wi-Fi, Contact, Text, Email and SMS codes are static: what they hold lives inside the picture, not on our servers, and we never see who scans. Poll codes go through qrpolls.com, which counts scans, and work as long as the poll exists.
Every style is free to download: colours, shapes, logo and frame.
Advanced
PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB. It stays in your browser.
We pick it for you: stronger when there is a logo, lighter for plain codes so the dots stay big. (M)
Example
Fill in the details above and we will test the code the way a phone would.
PNG and SVG are free: no watermark, no ads, and the code never expires.

When QR Code Monkey is the better pick
- Your print workflow only takes PDF or EPS and a plain code is fine: QR Code Monkey offers both. Our generator gives PNG and SVG.
- You want colour gradients in the dots. Our generator uses solid colours only, which scan more reliably.
When ours helps
- You want to know a design scans before you print 500 copies. The scan score reads it the way a phone does and says plainly when it will not work.
- You need a logo on a print file. Our SVG keeps the logo and every shape, so a print shop can scale it.
- You want guard rails: the logo is capped at 20% of the code, inverted colours and low contrast are flagged, and nothing is uploaded.
- You may need to change the link after printing. No expiry date. Codes keep forwarding after you cancel.
- You want one editable code without a subscription. At $3 CAD once, ours is the cheapest one-time editable code we found; QRever's own page charges US$19 for one code, or packs of 3 codes for US$49 and 10 codes for US$149.

Questions
Is QR Code Monkey free?
Yes. Its generator is free, and its codes, in its words, "do not expire and will work forever".
Why does my QR Code Monkey PDF have no logo?
Its own page says PDF and EPS downloads only support classic codes without the design and logo options. Use its SVG, or make the design here and download the SVG.
Can I edit a QR Code Monkey code after printing?
Not a code from its free generator: its page says those codes are static. For codes you can change, its page points to QR Code Generator PRO.
Do your codes expire?
No. Static codes made here hold their content in the picture and cannot expire.
