QR code for Instagram
A QR code that opens your Instagram profile.
Paste your profile address into the generator below, check the scan score and download a free code. People point a phone camera at it and land on your account.

Make a QR code that looks like you and scans every time.
Free to make. No account. We never put ads between a scanner and your link.
Link, Wi-Fi, Contact, Text, Email and SMS codes are static: what they hold lives inside the picture, not on our servers, and we never see who scans. Poll codes go through qrpolls.com, which counts scans, and work as long as the poll exists.
Every style is free to download: colours, shapes, logo and frame.
Advanced
PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB. It stays in your browser.
We pick it for you: stronger when there is a logo, lighter for plain codes so the dots stay big. (M)
Example
Fill in the details above and we will test the code the way a phone would.
PNG and SVG are free: no watermark, no ads, and the code never expires.
Make it in three steps
- Build your profile address: instagram.com/ followed by your username, for example instagram.com/yourshop. Open it on your phone to be sure it loads your profile.
- Paste it into the Web address box above, pick colours that contrast (dark dots on a light background scan best) and check the scan score.
- Download the PNG or SVG. Both are free, with no watermark.
Instagram has its own code too. Why make another?
Instagram can show a QR code for your profile from the Share profile screen in the app. The menu names change between app versions, so look for Share profile or QR code on your profile.
Its code is made for sharing on screen between phones. A code made here is a plain file you can print at any size: PNG for a sticker or a flyer, SVG for a sign or a shop window. You also get the scan score before it goes to the printer, and you choose the colours. You can add a logo or a frame, too.
Where an Instagram code works well
- Next to the till or on a receipt, so customers can follow you before they leave.
- On a sticker on packaging, so a gift or a parcel leads back to your account.
- On a business card, a market stall banner or a shop window.
- On a slide or poster at an event, with a line that says what people get, such as "See today's photos". It beats "Follow us".
What happens when someone scans it
The phone opens the profile address. If the Instagram app is installed it usually opens there; if not, it opens in the browser, where a visitor may be asked to log in to see more. That is Instagram's behaviour, not something a QR code controls.
A private account shows a Follow button, not the posts, to people who do not follow it yet. If you want the scan to be worth it, keep the account public.
If your username changes
A plain code holds the address itself. If you rename your account, the printed code points at the old name and stops working until someone claims it, and then it may show a stranger's profile. Choose your username before you print.
An editable code goes through a short qrpolls.link address, so you can point it at the new profile after printing. 3 editable codes are free with an email. After that, $3 CAD once per code.
Editable QR codesQuestions
Is the QR code free?
Yes. PNG and SVG downloads are free, with no account, no watermark and no ads, and the code does not expire.
Will it still work if I post new photos?
Yes. The code points at your profile, not at a post, so new posts show up when people arrive.
Can I make a code for one post or reel?
Yes. Open the post, copy its link from the share menu and paste that into the generator instead of your profile address.
Do you see who scans it?
Not with a plain code: it goes straight to Instagram without passing through us. An editable code counts scans by day, country and device type, never who scanned.
