All-hands meeting poll questions that get honest answers
An all-hands is the one meeting where everyone is in the room and almost nobody talks. A few well-placed polls change that, because a phone vote asks nothing of the shy and gives leadership a real read of the room.
Use one poll per section of the agenda rather than a block at the end, when half the audience has already mentally left.
How to run it
- 01Open the meeting with a quick pulse question while people are still arriving.
- 02Place one poll after each major update so the room reacts to it in the moment.
- 03Close with an open-text question and promise to answer the common themes next time.

Tips from running these live
- Pair the poll with a live Q&A board so questions people would not ask out loud still get asked.
- Share the results of sensitive questions afterwards, even when they are unflattering. People stop answering honestly when results disappear.
- For remote staff, post the voting link in chat next to the QR code.
