QR code for a menu

A QR code for the menu you already have online.

QR Polls does not host menus. You give the code the address of your menu page or PDF, and it opens that. The code is free and the scan check tells you if it will read on a table.

We pick it for you: stronger when there is a logo, lighter for plain codes so the dots stay big. (M)

Fill in the details above and we will test the code the way a phone would.

PNG and SVG are free: no watermark, no ads, and the code never expires.

What we do and do not do

  • We make the code. It holds the address of your menu, so a phone camera opens it.
  • We do not host, build or edit menus, and we do not take orders or payments. The menu lives wherever you already put it: your website, a page on your host, or a PDF you upload there.
  • That keeps it simple, and the code is free. If you want ordering, use an ordering service and put its link in the code.

Make it in three steps

  1. Get the address of your menu. Open it on your phone, signed out, to be sure it loads without a login.
  2. Paste it into the Web address box above and check the scan score. A short address scans from further away.
  3. Download the PNG or SVG for a table tent, a sticker or a sign.

Make the menu easy to open

  • A web page loads faster than a large PDF and reads better on a small screen. If you use a PDF, keep the file small and readable on a phone.
  • A cloud-drive link must be set so anyone with the link can view it. Test it in a private tab.
  • Put the menu on an address you control and keep it there. When the menu changes, update the page at the same address and the printed codes still work.
  • Put the code where people sit, about 60 cm away, and print it 6 to 8 cm wide depending on the length of the address.

If the menu address changes

A plain code holds the address itself. If you move the menu to a new address, every printed code opens the old one.

An editable code goes through a short qrpolls.link address, so you can point the printed tents at the new menu. 3 editable codes are free with an email. After that, $3 CAD once per code.

Editable QR codes

Ask your guests something

A QR Polls poll on the same table tent can ask "What should we add next month?" and show the answers. It is a separate code from the menu.

Questions

Do you host my menu?

No. The code links to a menu page or PDF that you host yourself. We make the code and check that it scans.

Is the QR code free?

Yes. PNG and SVG downloads are free, with no account, no watermark and no ads, and the code does not expire.

Can I take orders with it?

Not through us. If you use an ordering service, put its link in the code.

What if I change my menu?

Change the page at the same address and the printed code shows the new menu. If the address itself changes, an editable code can be pointed at the new one.
