QR code for events
QR codes for your event, and a live poll for the room.
Use one code to send guests to the details and a second one to ask them something. Poll answers appear on a screen as people vote.

Make a QR code that looks like you and scans every time.
Free to make. No account. We never put ads between a scanner and your link.
Link, Wi-Fi, Contact, Text, Email and SMS codes are static: what they hold lives inside the picture, not on our servers, and we never see who scans. Poll codes go through qrpolls.com, which counts scans, and work as long as the poll exists.
Every style is free to download: colours, shapes, logo and frame.
Advanced
PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB. It stays in your browser.
We pick it for you: stronger when there is a logo, lighter for plain codes so the dots stay big. (M)
Example
Fill in the details above and we will test the code the way a phone would.
PNG and SVG are free: no watermark, no ads, and the code never expires.
Two codes, two jobs
- The details code. Make a free code for your event page, schedule or map with the generator, and put it on the invitation, the door and the programme.
- The poll code. Every QR Polls poll comes with its own free code. Guests scan it, answer on their phone with no app and no account, and the bars move on your screen.
- Keep the two apart. A poll code on the same sign as the schedule makes people scan the wrong one.
What to ask the room
- Before the doors open: "Which session are you here for?" so the speaker sees who is in the room.
- During a talk: a one-question poll or a Q&A, so the quiet people can ask too.
- At a break: "Which topic should we spend the next hour on?"
- To close: a rating and one open question, shown as a word cloud on the screen.
Setting it up
- Write your question in the poll editor. It takes about ten seconds.
- Open the Print it page and print the poster, the table tent or the cards, or show the code on a slide.
- Put the results on the big screen. Guests scan, vote, and see the bars move.
Print sizes at an event
Codes on table tents are read at about 60 cm: by the 10:1 rule of thumb that is about 6 cm wide for a short link and 8 cm for a typical web address. A code on a slide is read from the back of the room, and the rule asks for a code a tenth as wide as that distance, so show it as large as the slide allows and print the short link beside it. The size calculator works out other distances.
QR code size calculatorWhat this does not do
QR Polls does not sell tickets, scan guests in at the door or manage a guest list. The details code opens whichever page you already use for that.
The free plan has a response limit per poll, so a large crowd may need a paid plan. The pricing page lists the limits.
See pricingA code you can reuse next year
If you print banners or signage for a yearly event, make the details code editable. After the event, point the same printed code at next year's page. 3 editable codes are free with an email. After that, $3 CAD once per code.
Questions
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. A phone camera reads the code and the poll opens in the browser.
Is the QR code for the event page free?
Yes. PNG and SVG downloads are free, with no account, no watermark and no ads.
Can guests vote more than once?
A poll counts one vote per device by default. It stops casual repeats, though it cannot prove who someone is.
Can I use it for ticket check-in?
No. QR Polls does not sell tickets or check people in. Use your ticketing service for that and ours for asking the room questions.
